Nope. Don’t open another tab.
Don’t check your schedule.
And for the record, renaming files won’t fix your life.
You know what needs doing.
The one thing you’ve politely rescheduled for three days and mentally rehearsed twice in the shower.
Do that.
Not because it’s noble.
Because if you don’t do it now, your brain will start building a clever little detour paved with “productive” side quests.
So now, you just start.
Not because you feel ready—because you know you won’t.
No warm-up. No mood check.
Just one hard thing, early—before the excuses get organized.
The Argument
You thought success was about planning better.
It wasn’t.
It was about not giving your fear time to make a case.
Start fast. Start before you’re ready.
Before your ego drafts a more comfortable agenda.
The Tool
What I do now:
- Choose the hard thing. The one I keep retyping in my to-do list.
- Do it first. No prep. No reward system.
- Set a timer—30 minutes max.
- Let it be ugly. Let it be done.
The point isn’t to finish.
It’s to begin before my old patterns get too clever.
